Service Description

Join us for the Bird Feeder Workshop at The Pottery Studio, where you'll craft a charming ceramic birdhouse for your garden using the slab building method with stoneware clay. I’ll show you the techniques to create a beautiful piece that’s perfect as a gift or as an enchanting addition to your outdoor space. Experience personalized instruction in our small class setting, and unleash your creativity while enjoying the art of pottery. Personalize your feeder with unique textures and stamped designs. This class will meet for two consecutive weeks to create the piece. Then it will dry it and get first fired (bisque fired) within 2 weeks. The pottery studio will then apply a studio glaze for you, or you may schedule a visit to "Return to Glaze" and finish glazing yourself in preparation of the final Glaze firing—appointments are available online for your convenience.

Clay is messy — embrace it! Working with clay is a hands-on, creative process. Please dress for mess and take part in clean-up, which is an important part of studio practice and respect for shared space. Make-ups & Refunds All registrations are non-refundable, and no make-ups are offered for missed classes. Each class spot is reserved just for you, and materials are prepared in advance. Pieces & Materials Each student may create 1–2 pieces as part of the class. Additional pieces or materials will incur extra charges. Glazing Your pottery will be ready to glaze in about 2-3 weeks. You may return during a scheduled glaze session to finish your pieces, or choose to have our staff glaze them for you for a $20 service fee. Pickup Policy Finished work must be picked up within 30 days from the first notice of completion. After 30 days, unclaimed pieces will be donated to make space for new work.
