Service Description

This is an appointment to return to glaze your pottery. Whether you attended a mini class or just did not complete your glazing for a wheel or hand-building class you can book time during open studio time to complete your glazing. Cost is $10 per hour using Studio Brushing glazes, and the cost of firing if applicable. Time spent beyond 1hour will Incur another $10 cost to be paid at time of sitting. Pottery will be ready in 14 days, you will be contacted by the studio to pick up your pottery. We cannot hold pottery more than 30 days after first contact, please understand we are a small studio with limited space so all pottery that is left beyond that time will be donated or discarded. Cancellation Policy

Studio Rules and safety information: Please read all studio rules in the terms and conditions section before purchase. ​​NO OUTSIDE CLAY/GLAZES (unless approved by owner) and pottery made elsewhere. Please follow all cleanliness guidelines that are posted in studio. Silica dust is deadly, and there are good reasons for all the cleaning rules posted. This is one of the cleanest studios you will ever see. Tables and floors are kept free of clay and dust, and there are no dirty tools or buckets, YOU MUST LEAVE YOUR WORKSPACE AND WHEELS CLEAN and SHELVES CLEAN thanks! (cleaning is part of making and we will show you how!) Bring your own towels and apron if you choose and bring items HOME TO WASH BETWEEN CLASSES. Dry clay creates dust. Work wet and clean wet, do not let clay dry on tools, hands, tables, towels, floors etc. Clean up dust, clay lint, clay bits immediately. All sanding is done wet no dry sanding as it creates an unsafe environment. There are no make ups for missed classes, and no refunds. If the instructor has to cancel, arrangements will be made to make up the time. Students pay for Clay & Glaze firings, charged by the cubic inch for each piece, which will be paid prior to glazing or at pick up. Prices are posted in studio. Students are responsible for any damage to kiln shelves, if glaze falls onto shelf the cost of small clean up $20 per incident, if shelf is not repairable cost of shelf is $100.00. Students can make cookies to prevent accidents. Please treat others with respect. We do not speak of religion, politics, work, and avoid discussions of politics, religion, personal life and health issues. The classes go by very quickly, so be sure to focus on the work. Good Kamma only! Please no food. You may bring nonalcoholic beverages, please take out what you bring in. Pottery wheels may be uncomfortable or challenging for those with back or mobility issues, please send us an email if you need assistance. If you have muscular or back problems, throwing may be a challenge for you, but you are welcome to hand build. Manage your expectations, relax and follow along with the instruction. Open studio is for returning students only. DO NOT TOUCH WORK THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU DO NOT TOUCH WORK ON THE READY TO BE FIRED SHELF (even if it is yours) Please leave the studio the way you found it, and clean all materials, tools, wheels, work areas and put everything away. This is a drug free conflict free HAPPY ZONE.
